An open fire in the hut ensures warmth and comfort
A fire burns in the lakeside hut (kota) throughout the tour, ensuring you stay warm and comfortable. At the hut, we grill sausages, serve hot drinks, and offer local pastries.
Program Content
Please note that the northern lights are not visible every night, but the quiet nature and other celestial displays offer each evening a unique experience.
The program begins at 8:00 PM at the Old Village Store (Seipäjärventie 1765, Seipäjärvi).
Welcome greeting by hostess Virve.
* The celestial phenomena may be observed from the lakeshore, on the frozen lake (after checking the safety of the ice), or while walking through the village surroundings.
* The lakeside hut (approx. 100 m away) offers a warm fire, hot drinks, pastries, and grilled sausages — all included.
* Winter activity equipment may be tried out during snowy conditions; otherwise, equipment is displayed.
* Local handicrafts are available for purchase.

Program starts at 19:00 with pick up from Hotel Sodankylä. Transportation to Seipäjärvi village (60 km from Sodankylä). Enjoy the activity and drop off is around 24:00 to Hotel Sodankylä.
