Enter the heart of an authentic reindeer farm in the village of Seipäjärvi. This is a traditional farm where reindeer herding has been a way of life for families for centuries. On this 2.5-hour guided tour, you will experience the everyday life of reindeer herding up close and enjoy genuine Lappish hospitality.
Hands-on Moments with the Herd
You will walk with a reindeer herder along the reindeer fence, feed the reindeer, and photograph them in peace. During the tour, you will hear stories about the history of reindeer herding, its importance to the villagers, and how reindeer have been a vital part of life both in the past and today.
Local Hospitality and Traditions
At the start of your visit, you will be welcomed to the village by Virve, the hostess of Feelis Palvelut, at her home.
Inside the house, you can explore local art, learn about the history of the farm, and meet the hostess's dogs. We will then head to a reindeer farm located right next to Feelis Palvelut—a quick 5-minute trip by minibus.
Atmospheric Moments by the Campfire
After the visit to the reindeer farm, we enjoy the atmosphere of the campfire in the hut (kota). We offer grilled sausages and local pastries served with warm drinks, providing the perfect end to your Arctic experience.

Good to Know Before Your Visit
The reindeer farm visit is suitable for all ages. To ensure a comfortable experience, please note the following:
What you need: Warm winter clothes (hat, gloves, winter boots, and padded outdoor clothing).
Meeting point: Please arrive 15 minutes before the start at Seipäjärventie 1765.
Group size: Maximum 8 people.
Languages: Service is available in Finnish and English.
Availability: Bookable from December to April. Tours are held on Fridays at 11 am.
