This light- and noise-free village offers perfect conditions for observing the northern sky. You can lie on reindeer hides or walk peacefully under lantern light, free from any rush. Whether you see the dancing Northern Lights or other celestial displays, the soft glow of lanterns and the quiet nature create an unforgettable, magical experience.
Warmth and Flavors by the Fire
Atmospheric Moments at the Lakeside Hut
A fire burns in our lakeside hut (kota) throughout the tour. It is located only about 100 meters away, ensuring a cozy spot to warm up. At the hut, we grill sausages, serve hot drinks, and offer more local pastries — all included in your visit.
Program and Practicalities
What to Expect During Your Visit
8:00 PM: Welcome greeting by your hostess, Virve, at the Old Village Store.
Celestial Observation: We head to the lakeshore or the frozen lake (safety permitting) to observe the sky.
Winter Fun: During snowy conditions, you can try out various winter activity equipment.
Handicrafts: Local handmade treasures are available for purchase.
Important Information
Availability: September 1st – March 31st.
Suitability: Suitable for most, including those with some mobility limitations (please inform us when booking). Not recommended for very young children.
What to Wear: Please bring your own weather-appropriate winter clothing (gloves, hat, and warm footwear).
Booking: Reservations and cancellations must be made at least 2 days in advance.
